​I believe that there is an unspoken language behind all forms of artwork that can express more truthfully something where words can seem inadequate or clumsy.

For me, creating and enjoying art is a way to find a sense of calm amidst the noise of every day life. Every stroke, mark or smudge demands my attention, and it's in the detail that I find some quiet.

Each piece of work is my attempt to illustrate a simple idea that has given me some comfort over time, whether that's reminding me that I have one that watches over me when I feel lost, or to refocus my gaze when life feels stormy.

 

All work is inspired by my Christian faith. You may not have even noticed at first glance for some pieces, others are more overt. The truth is, I have hesitated to label myself as a Christian artist creating exclusively Christian artwork, as my hope is that the work can invite anyone into a place of calm, joy, or reflection.

That being said, the beating heart behind the artwork is my faith in Jesus. My deepest hope is that in some way, when you look at these drawings, you stop seeing the charcoal and paper, and instead see a glimpse of Him.
